General
All works must be original and made to fit the theme of the zine. Previous works will not be allowed to be modified for use in the zine.
AI-generated content/plagiarism/discovery of stolen works will not be tolerated.
Contributors are not allowed to discuss spoilers of zine progress or content outside of the server until publication.
Contributors must submit work on time, follow schedule guidelines, and comply with check-ins. Communication will be made utilizing the zine discord server and contributor private channels. If contributors don't maintain contact and don't respond to check-ins or mod inquiries, they may be dropped.
Please be kind and respectful to one another. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and we encourage you to express them BUT do so respectfully. No hate or bullying of any kind will be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to insults, harassment, racism, slurs, inappropriate comments, using nicknames to hurt others, spamming, etc. Bad behavior will have you ejected from the zine.

Are characters other than the Beast Pirates allowed?
Yes, as long as members of the BP crew are the focus of the piece.What about OCs?
Yes.Can ships be included?
Absolutely. While this isn’t specifically a shipping zine, we have no issue including them.AUs?
Canon-divergence or adding extra elements is fine (example: Kaidou beats Luffy, devil fruit swaps between characters, genderbends, etc). Out-of-universe AUs (example: modern, crossover, etc) are not.Otherwise, so long as the focus of the piece remains on Beast Pirate characters, you're good.NSFW Content?
Content that WILL NOT be featured in the add-on includes:
Incest (blood-related)
Underage (for the sake of storefront distribution)Because of the over abundance of zoans and Gifters, so long as all parties involved pass the Harkness Test within your work, you're good to go!

The main zine will be SFW, with an +18 NSFW digital-only add-on. Gore and violence should be kept canon-typical for the SFW portion. (Very dark themes do occur regularly in canon, but are often either kept brief or less descriptive.)Will the zine be physical or digital?
This is an all-digital project.Will there be merch?
There will be digital merch offered with the zine for no cost.Is the zine for-profit or for charity?
For a span, the SFW zine, its NSFW add-on, and all merch will be available in exchange for donations to one of our chosen charities.Donating is encouraged, but otherwise completely optional, as after the donation period ends, everything will be available completely free of cost on our itch.io storefront. Donating simply lets you skip the ‘line’!.Will contributors be compensated?
All contributors will receive a PDF of the completed zine and all bundled digital merch.Do I need to have experience to apply for the zine?
Previous experience is preferred, but absolutely not necessary!Will moderators be allowed to contribute pieces?
While not required, all moderators will have the chance to pitch and submit pieces.Can I apply for multiple roles?
Yes, but you may not necessarily be accepted to all positions you apply for.
Contributors will be expected to deliver submissions for all roles they're accepted for. If you apply for more than one position and only want a single role, please state as such in your application and state your preference, if any, between those chosen.Can I create multiple pieces within a single role?
Yes! If you are chosen to create extra works, you are required to finish your main piece before starting any potential secondary pieces.Can I post my work to social media/sell my work?
All our creators are welcome to post their work once the zine is released. You retain the rights to the work you produce and are free to reproduce your and only your work as you see fit.I have a question that isn't addressed here.
